Uh oh. Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan could be in trouble for finding out the sex of their unborn child. Remember I told you about the DNA report that they were having a third child via a surrogate? Well turns out it’s a boy!
Now I’m sure their reasons are pure of heart (more like what-color-shall-we-paint-the-nursery) but it’s still illegal to try and determine the sex of your child as per Indian law and we unfortunately know all too well why.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh hasn’t confirmed or denied that he and Gauri are even expecting an addition to their family, let alone a boy. The couple already have two kids. Their son Aryan is 15 and daughter Suhana is 13.
Reacting to media reports about SRK and wife Gauri had opted for surrogacy, Manisha Mhaiskar, additional municipal commissioner of health, said that the state health department apparently wrote to the civic body to check if the star had opted for sex determination test.
“I asked the executive health officer of BMC to look in to the matter and record Shah Rukh Khan’s statement… We will find out whether Shah Rukh has done a sex determination test or not. If it has been done in Mumbai, we will initiate action. But we need to find it out first.”
