To promote their products and shaving kits, Gillette had the gorgeous Malaika Arora Khan and Neha Dhupia lather up and clean shave Arbaaz Khan and Vidyut Jammwal, respectively.

The event was held at Mehboob Studios in Mumbai and both the Bollywood babes touted the virtues of being lean shaven to enhance a man’s good looks.

“A shaved man always looks clean, chaka-chak, handsome. There’s something very approachable about a man when he’s well groomed,” said Malaika. “In my mind, a man who doesn’t shave is just basically very lazy,” she added.

All Iz not Well between Sonakshi Sinha and Arbaaz Khan. I hear she rejected his next directorial venture - Dolly Ki Doli - which later went to Sonam Kapoor.

The industry is abuzz with the gossip that even though she was present at Salman Khan’s new year’s bash, Arbaaz is still quite miffed with her for rejecting his film. Aside from career advice, like what films to do and stuff, she’s friends enough with him to call and chat on a regular basis about random little things too. But the last time she dialled Aamir he abruptly hung up the phone saying he was in no mood to talk to her.

Anupama Chopra: Pankaj Parashar, the director of Rajkumar, told me this terrific story about you and Naseeruddin Shah, who was, of course, the villain in the movie. He said there was some seduction scene that you had to do. The rehearsals were all fine, and then you went to do the take and you apparently looked so stunning that Mr. Naseeruddin Shah, the great actor who can recite pages from Shakespeare, forgot his lines. Is this true?

Madhuri Dixit: It happens, actors sometimes forget their lines. But I don’t know if it happened because he found me so beautiful but it’s a great story.

Anupama Chopra: It is a great story. And in Dedh Ishqiya, did he have any such problems?

Madhuri Dixit: No, not at all. I think it was wonderful working with him because I have always looked up to him as an actor. So when you work with people like that, when you give your first shot, there is a little something in you that you have to perform well. It’s like you are being judged. He has always admired my work. He has always said he is a fan and now I am working with him so I have to live up to it. That’s the scary part.

Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma

The rumour mills have been abuzz with news about Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli‘s relationship, and if recent reports are anything to go by, then these two are definitely serious about each other! Word has it that Virat has actually moved in to one (of three) flats that Anushka Sharma owns on the 20th floor of a suburban residential building. Apparently, the building’s watchman has confirmed this, saying that Virat was at her house last night and has been there for five days.

TOI’s report continues by saying that Virat was picked up at the airport (when he returned from South Africa) by Anushka’s car. His luggage was loaded into one car, while he himself sat in another – also said to be Anushka’s – and zoomed off to her home.

The two began dating after they were brought on board to endorse a dandruff shampoo brand recently. Since then, they have been spending time with each other around Mumbai, and were even spotted by onlookers. Before he left for South Africa, he had visited Anushka, and she had apparently even come down to her building lobby to see him off and kiss him goodbye.

They make a very attractive couple, so here’s hoping that things work out for them!

Sohail Khan and Salman Khan

Uh oh. Trouble in the Khan-daan! Salman Khan‘s Jai Ho is releasing on January 24th. However, the PR activities for his film have only JUST begun. Apparently bother Sohail Khan (who is also the director of the film) isn’t too happy with Salman for not doing as many interviews and appearances as expected.

The buzz is that there has been a clash of ideology between the brothers when it came to the film’s marketing. Salman feels that he should take the Aamir Khan route and let the film speak for itself. (As we know it worked wonders for Dhoom 3) BBUT Sohail feels that since it’s the first big release of the year they need to go all out promoting it everywhere.

The industry gossip is that Salman and Sohail have also had many creative differences while making the film. Well I sure hope it doesn’t affect the box-office success of Jai Ho! And I can’t help but imagine Sohail making his Angry Bird’s face that MissMalini documented ages ago. *Hahaha*

PS. Don’t worry Sohail, I’m sure any Dabangg Salman movie will get its due at the box office, maybe the Boss just needed a break!

Hrithik Roshan came out of his self imposed exile to celebrate good friend, Farhan Akhtar‘s birthday at a bash in Lonavala. Duggu and Farhan are very close and a source who attended the party reveals that the latter made sure that his friend who has recently gone through a painful separation had a good time. Apart from giving him company, Farhan was also playing some club mixes of Hrithik’s favourite songs. The source also mentions that Farhan’s wife, Adhuna Akhtar and his dad, Javed Akhtar are quite close to Sussanne Roshan. And not many know that she spent her new year with the Akhtars at a party attended by Zoya Akhtar, Kajal Anand and others.

When we posted about the Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli rumours earlier this morning, MissMalini reader Kavisha told us to ask Industrywalla for the truth! So we did, and the news we got was actually quite surprising. While most people believe that Anushka and Virat met on the sets of their shampoo commercial, Industrywalla tells us that they actually knew each other before that. And would you guess who made the introduction? Yup, Ranveer Singh, who was said to be dating Anushka at that time! Here’s the full scoop from our source.

Industrywalla says: While everyone is talking about Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli now, I am told that the two have actually been secretly dating for quite some time. However, the news only came out when the couple was in the limelight for doing that shampoo commercial together. In fact, there is even a buzz in the industry that she was the one who coaxed her agency in to getting him to star opposite her in the endorsement.

How did they meet? Through Ranveer Singh! Actually, Anushka’s ex and Virat had met up casually at a party a few years ago when the Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram Leela actor was still dating her. Then, through Ranveer, Virat and Anushka ended up meeting each other. So it is kind of strange that Ranveer was the one who informally introduced Virat to Anushka. I guess he didn’t know at that time that fate had a strange future in store, because the person he introduced started dating his ex-girlfriend after they broke up!

Tanishaa, Tanuja and Kajol

Ever since it was leaked that Tanishaa Mukerji would be a part of Bigg Boss 7, rumours began flying that Tanuja (her mother) wasn’t too pleased about the entire situation. In fact, the whole family - Kajol and Ajay Devgn as well – were said to be upset about her agreeing to join the show, and even tried to talk her out of it. However, in a recent interview, Tanuja claimed that while it did bother her in the beginning, it’s “no big deal” and they “stick together” because they are family.

When TOI asked about her daughter’s relationship with Armaan Kohli - which we have been told she was initially not too happy about – the yesteryear actress got snappy. “My family is sacrosanct and I guard them fiercely. People think it is their janam sidh adhikar to ask us whatever they want to, but why should I answer? I have never bothered about the press in my life, not even during my heydays. I never clarified anything.”

She also said that she wasn’t upset about Tanishaa’s decision to enter the show, saying that “she is 35″ and “must have had the need to do it.” She maintained that she supported her, and said there was no truth to the stories that she went to the finale unwillingly. “Why wouldn’t I go there?” she questioned the media, when posed the question.

As for whether Ajay Devgn did indeed try to get Tanishaa kicked out of the show, Tanuja claimed she doesn’t know about that, but doesn’t think it’s true. “Why would Ajay do something like that? We were okay with Tanishaa being on the show.”

Whatever happened on the show aside, Tanuja is just happy that her “baby has come out safe and sound.” She said that when she saw the show, she wanted to “slap everybody silly” but it’s better not to judge anyone as that environment is completely different.

Anurag Kashyap and Huma Qureshi

Earlier today, a report appeared in the papers that Anurag Kashyap and Huma Qureshi were seen behaving like “college sweethearts” at a recent movie screening. This report comes close on the heels of the other rumours doing the rounds about Huma having a part to play in Anurag and Kalki Koechlin‘s separation. According to the report today, Huma was at Anurag’s side for the whole event and was even spotted deep in conversation with him later in the evening. Apparently, they left the venue at 1:30am.

Huma’s spokesperson refuted the rumours, saying that she is friends with both Anurag and Kalki separately, and greeted Anurag in the same manner that she met the other guests at the event. Her spokesperson even clarified that she attended the screening along with her brother, Saqib Saleem, and said that this whole issue is “being made into something it is not.”

Post that, Kalki also jumped to Huma’s defence, saying that people should leave her alone. The actress sent out a tweet telling everyone that Huma has nothing to do with whatever issues she has with Anurag:

Deepika Padukone, Karan Johar

There was a time when Kareena Kapoor Khan was producer Karan Johar‘s favourite girl. Not only did he praise her in interviews, but he also made her his first choice when it came to casting a lead for his films. However, Bebo has now been replaced by none other than the flavour of the season – Deepika Padukone! An insider from Dharma Productions spilled the beans a little while earlier and told me that Karan wants to sign Deepika for a three film deal, which will mean that she’ll be doing projects with him until 2016!

The super success of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani has established Dippy as Dharma’s current favorite girl. So much so that there is even talk that KJo wants to revive an old script and cast Deepika and Ranbir Kapoor in it. Remember on Koffee With Karan, Salman Khan asked Karan who he has signed next? At that time, Karan had said, “I haven’t signed anybody.” However, Salman refuted that by saying, “Don’t lie. You’ve signed Ranbir Kapoor.” It’s possible that he was referring to this same old script that Karan’s production house is now toying with making into a film.

Unfortunately, even though Karan is fond of Kareena, her track record with his production house hasn’t really been that great. Most of her films, like Kurbaan, Ek Mein Aur Ek Tu, or the recent disaster Gori Tere Pyaar Mein, have failed to create any buzz at the box office. As a result, working with her is no longer a ‘must-do’, and he is now considering Deepika as his priority at the moment.

Therefore, don’t be surprised if you start hearing Karan Johar gushing about and praising Deepika in all his interviews this year, because you may just end up seeing her as the star in a string of Dharma Production films!

Daisy Shah and Salman Khan

Daisy Shah is the leading lady of Salman Khan‘s upcoming film, Jai Ho. However, the newbie actress isn’t too thrilled with the kind of promotion – or lack thereof – that she’s been getting leading up to her film’s release. Salman Khan is known to go all out in promoting a talent when he takes them under his wing, but for some reason, Daisy feels like she’s not getting the same treatment that he has doled out in the past to his other protégés.

The reason she’s sulking even more is because she feels a certain Elli Avram has been getting more attention than her. Daisy believes that, following up to Bigg Boss, the media has “linked” Elli to Salman and therefore she has received more attention and focus. In fact, Elli is being spoken about more (especially in relation to Salman) than Daisy is, despite the fact that Daisy is the one who has a film coming up with the actor. (And Elli may have to wait a while anyway.) It certainly doesn’t help that Salman himself has gone on record to state that he has Elli in mind for a future film. At that time, Salman even implied that Elli is talented, since he says that getting cast in a film requires him to “see something in that person,” and it’s not simply about friendship.

It also seems that Daisy’s chemistry with Salman isn’t being appreciated the way she would have wanted it to be. Like, on Facebook, MissMalini‘s question about whether the two have chemistry got a resounding no from most of you. This, obviously, is not helping Daisy either. The actress thought that, since this is her big break and first major Bollywood film, she would be promoted heavily by the actor. However, while she has shot for appearances on reality shows (like Comedy Nights With Kapil and Dance India Dance), she still feels that Salman personally is not promoting her as much as he has his co-stars in the past.

Sunny Leone and Yo Yo Honey Singh

They are among the two most controversial new stars in Bollywood and now, you’ll soon get to see Sunny and Honey together on screen in a song for the upcoming thriller, Ragini MMS 2.

Yo Yo Honey Singh has delivered a number of hits in 2013, the most popular being Lungi Dance from Chennai Express. As for Sunny Leone, she did an item number in Shootout At Wadala and starred in Jackpot, which was a box office flop.

But with this upcoming son, called Chaar Bottle Vodka, the makers of the film promise to have you grooving with much abandon when it releases at the end of February.

Sonakshi Sinha

A chance to act on Broadway is not an opportunity that comes along for too many people – not even some A-Listers – but Sonakshi Sinha has been offered just that recently! According to reports in the papers today, a group in New York has approached Sonakshi to play a role in the Broadway adaptation of O Henry‘s The Last Leaf, which was the novel that the Sonakshi Sinha and Ranveer Singh starrer Lootera was based on. It seems like her performance in that film impressed this group, and therefore they called her to give her the offer!

Whether Sonakshi will take up this new stint is not known yet, as she has to check her schedule and figure out whether she will have the dates to give them. However, her spokesperson did confirm this news to Mirror, saying that Sonakshi did get the offer to perform on the Broadway show, but will take a call some time soon.

However, while she has this to be proud about – as well as the good reviews from fans and critics for Lootera - Sonakshi has just tweeted saying that she’s disappointed at the reception the film received at this year’s award functions. She has been nominated, but other people who worked on the film – including the actor and director – have been left out. “Didn’t they call it a masterpiece/poetry in motion/world class/technically superior film when it first released? That seems like qualification enough to be there!” Here’s her tweet in full:

Rekha and Amitabh Bachchan

Okay, can we all just take a moment to appreciate how crazy it is that this happened? Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan and Rekha have gone to great lengths to avoid any (public, at least) interactions. Somehow, however, they ended up greeting each other at the Screen Awards last night, and the paparazzi managed to capture it as well. In stark contrast to a few years ago, when Amitabh literally ran from his seat when he saw Rekha approaching and greeting everyone in a line. Remember that video?

And then there was that other time, when he walked right past her:

(What is that video, though? “Har baar milte milte reh jaate hai” and “Rekha ka Amitabh ke liye affection unki aankhon mein saaf dikha” and that music overlay of Tu Jaane Na.)

Anyway, none of that happened this time around because they actually acknowledged each other in their own ways. Amitabh was seen greeting Rekha with a namaste, while Rekha and Jaya actually clasped hands (even though they look awkward and are avoiding eye contact, at least in this particular picture that we’ve received). Crazy, right? This puts an end to 33 years of them not being seen together in public (they were last together in 1981 for Silsila, and since then have parted ways).

Mind = blown, yes? Rekha and Amitabh’s alleged off-screen love story has filled gossip columns for years (decades, really) now, although no one really knows what actually happened behind the scenes. We would love to, though. It’s still one of Bollywood’s greatest unsolved mysteries.

Vinod and Raksha Thakur

It was a truly emotional day on the set of Nach Baliye 6 as the two popular contestants, Vinod and Raksha Thakur, got re-married during the recording of the dance reality show.

The ceremony was orchestrated by judge, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, who wanted to make their dream come true of being married with the blessings of their respective parents.

The love-story between Raksha and physically challenged Vinod, is an unusual and inspiring one.

Raskha used to attend dance classes at Vinod’s academy and over time, she was taken up with the fact that he wasn’t dependent on anyone to get around or to achieve his dreams. They decided to get married even though neither of them proposed to the other.

However, Raksha’s parents were against the match because of Vinod’s disability and did not give their blessings. Hence, the duo eloped but prayed that one day the parents would accept their union.

Having heard this prayer, actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra (who is a judge on the show), arranged for the couple to finally get married in the presence of their families on the sets of Nach Baliye 6.

Said a source from the set, “Vinod and Raksha ran away and got married and don’t have any happy memories with their family associated with the occasion. This wedding on the sets was truly emotional because, not only did the families finally come together to celebrate the union, but also bestowed their blessings on the couple on national television.”

The celebrations saw Shilpa Shetty Kundra and Terence Lewis dance with the couple’s family and Terence even carried a child on his shoulder and danced with abandon.

Gossip from the Screen Awards!

You already know how the women – and the men! – fared style-wise at the Screen awards, so now it’s time to get all the juicy behind-the-scenes gossip from the awards night courtesy Industrywalla! This is the stuff you won’t see on television when the show finally airs :)

Kalki Koechlin and Huma Qureshi

1. Huma Qureshi and Kalki Koechlin had a field day posing for the photogs and dispelling any rumours about an alleged rift between them over Anurag Kashyap. (Remember Kalki also came to Huma’s defence on Twitter?) In fact, Huma even told one photographer to send her their picture after the event was over!

2. Shahid Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha, who are dating, went to an after party once the award show got over. I had earlier told you that they were not dating but were just “getting to know each other.” However, things went well, because now the buzz is that they are going incredibly strong and are quite serious about each other.

Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh

3. Shah Rukh Khan was heard showering praises over Ranveer Singh‘s Govinda tribute act. He also congratulated him on his performance in Lootera and Ram Leela.

4. Deepika Padukone was the centre of attention. She was being hugged and air kissed by everybody and congratulated for having such a fabulous year at the movies. However, she tried to avoid getting clicked with Ranveer on numerous occasions, instead preferring to pose solo. The photogs did capture her with Ranveer and SRK, though – the two men who were a part of her success this year. Where was Ranbir Kapoor, her other co-star? Well, read on.

Jaya Bachchan and Rekha

5. Jaya Bachchan and Rekha bumped into each other and politely greeted one another. This was when Amitabh Bachchan was walking ahead of the row and spotted Rekha sitting right on his way. The flashbulbs went crazy taking pics of them, as you saw already.

6. Both Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif were absent from the awards show. RK is hosting Filmfare and was in rehearsals, while I guess Kat was in no mood to come and clap for her rival taking home the trophies!

7. A bitchy actress was heard discussing Anushka Sharma‘s selfie that was much talked about on Twitter because of how unrecognisable she looks in the picture! Ouch.
